We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Airline Fleet Data Researcher to join our aviation data team. In this role, you will research, verify, and maintain detailed information on the internal configurations of commercial airline fleets, including seating, inflight entertainment (IFE), WiFi, and other key attributes. You will engage directly with airline operators to ensure the accuracy of data held within our industry-leading IBA Insights database.

Local to Leatherhead you’ll work in our office 2 days per week on a hybrid basis. Regional candidates will also be considered, subject to commitment to attending team meetings in Leatherhead up to 8 times per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and document internal aircraft configurations across global airline fleets on an aircraft-by-aircraft basis.
• Update and maintain aircraft configuration data in the IBA Insights database.
• Collaborate with Aircraft and Company Analysts to identify airlines for targeted data validation and surveys.
• Establish and nurture professional contacts within airlines to support accurate and timely data validation.
• Prepare and send data surveys to airlines covering seating, WiFi, IFE, maximum take-off weight (MTOW), and ownership information.
• Follow up with airlines regarding aircraft delivery and retirement plans.
• Identify and report any data discrepancies for resolution by relevant teams.
